What is the upper mold and the lower mold in the mold base?

2022-02-24
The mold base itself has no upper and lower touch points. This is for example: two bricks are placed together. We cannot specifically say that the bricks are upper and lower. If there is a concept of upper and lower molds, people who have studied physics We all know that this requires a reference or reference point. Precision mold base

The most common mold base is the two-opening mold. The so-called two-opening mold means that there are two main cavities. You can open the mold left and right, or you can open the mold up and down. There are upper molds and lower molds.
Generally speaking, upper and lower mold opening is most common on punch presses, pouring machines, and hydraulic presses, and in this case, the upper mold is also called a moving mold, and the lower mold is called a static mold, because when the mold is opened, it is a mechanical mechanism. Drive the movable mold to rise and complete the mold opening action. Therefore, the upper mold and the lower mold appear.
In short, the mold base has a pre-forming device, a positioning device and an ejecting device. The general configuration is panel, A plate (front template), B plate (rear template), C plate (square iron), bottom plate, thimble panel, thimble bottom plate, and spare parts such as guide post and return needle.
Above the mold base is a diagram of a typical mold base structure. The right part is called the upper die, and the left part is called the lower die. During injection molding, the upper and lower molds will be combined first, so that the plastic is formed in the molding part of the upper and lower modules. Then the upper and lower molds will be separated, and the finished product will be pushed out by the ejector device dominated by the lower mold.
Upper mold of mold base (front mold)
Configured as an in-mold forming part or a native forming part.
Runner part (including hot nozzle, hot runner (pneumatic part), common runner).
Cooling section (water port).
Lower mold of mold base (rear mold)
Configured as an in-mold forming part or a native forming part.
Push-out device (finished push plate, thimble, cylinder needle, inclined top, etc.).
Cooling section (water port).
Fixing device (support head, square iron and needle board guide edge, etc.).
